Nokia and Qualcomm hit 8 Gbps throughput on a commercial 5G network
Nokia, Qualcomm and the Finnish teleoperator Elisa achive a new record speed on commercial 5G networks. The record breaking throughput goes to 8Gbps on a commercial mmWave spectrum network in downtown Helsinki.
The test setup consisted of two Nokia AirScale radios, each with 800 MHz of commercial millimeter wave spectrum. The client devides used were two 5G smartphone test devices with the latest Qualcomm X55 modem. The used frequency was the 26GHz band reserved for commercial use in Finland.
